I am delighted to welcome you to Rwanda for the Mining Week \u2013 a convening for upstream and downstream actors, manufacturers, academia, development finance organisations, inorganic chemical industry manufacturers and service providers, and government stakeholders from key national partners engaged in critical minerals security and supply.<\/p>

Minerals for a smarter and greener future \u2013 a theme for 2025, comes at a pivotal time as the global demand for critical minerals is reaching unprecedented levels, as these resources power every facet of the digital world redefining the future of technologies, artificial intelligence, and green innovation.<\/p>

Rwanda, uniquely positioned in the Eastern African rift valley, is a responsible and key source of the 3T critical minerals, high-grade lithium, beryllium and rare earth elements such as zircon, monazite and xenotime, along with significant deposits of gold and gemstones.<\/p>

Rwanda Mining Week is a signature forum for dialoguing on collaborative approaches to set in motion a more resilient, inclusive and forward-looking minerals industry -one that is essential for sustainable development and global technological transformation that makes the world fairer, more inclusive, and more just.
Rwanda is increasingly becoming a regional hub for mineral beneficiation and value addition. We are beckoning on responsible investors to tap into the abundant and lucrative opportunities across our entire mineral value chain. These range from exploration and extraction, advanced mining technology, value addition, and the manufacture of high-end products.<\/p>
