On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Rwanda Mines, Petroleum and Gas Board (RMB), it is my great pleasure to warmly welcome all delegates, investors, industry leaders, development partners, and stakeholders to Rwanda Mining Week 2026, taking place from 9 to 11 December 2026.

This year’s theme, “Powering the Future: Mechanisation, Scale and Sustainable Growth in Mining,” captures both the ambition and the opportunity that define Rwanda’s mining sector today. As we work towards unlocking the full potential of our mineral resources, we must embrace innovation, modern technologies, responsible investment, and strategic partnerships that drive productivity while ensuring long-term sustainability.

Rwanda Mining Week has become a premier platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, and business collaboration. It brings together key actors from across the mining value chain to share experiences, explore emerging opportunities, and shape the future of a sector that continues to play an increasingly important role in Rwanda’s economic transformation.

As we gather in Kigali, I encourage you to engage actively, forge new partnerships, and contribute to discussions that will help advance a more competitive, resilient, and sustainable mining industry for Rwanda and the region.
